Gimsoya is an island in Vågan Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Gimsoya is situated between the islands of Austvågoya and Vestvågoya in the Lofoten archipelago. The 46.4-square-kilometre island has a population of 181.
European route E10 passes through Gimsoya connecting the island with the Austvågoya on the bridge Gimsoystraumen and the island Vestvågoya on the bridge Sundklakkstraumen. The main settlements on Gimsoya include Vigne, where Gimsoy elementary school is located, Hove, where a Golf course is, Hovsund where the Marina and the abandoned fish factory is located, Barstrand where some fishing industry is located, Gimsoysand Gimsoy where the Church is, and Årrstranda.
Historically, the island made up a large part of the old municipality Gimsoy existed from 1856 until its dissolution in 1964.
